Annual Seafarers Party 2006

The ASP 2006 was held at The Legend Hotel in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. With over 1,700 islands and islets and almost 2,000 kilometers of coastline, Palawan is known as having one of the most beautiful seascapes in the world. Many officers enjoyed the weekend in the sun together with their spouses and families. Some staff from HFS participated as well. It was the first visit to Palawan for most of the participants.

The stay gave Höegh Fleet Services' officers and staff the chance to spend time together in a casual setting and get to know each other outside of the workplace. 2 excursions were arranged, one to Honda Bay, the other to the St. Paul Subterranean River National Park. The Park's main attraction is an 8.2 kilometer underground river, reputed to be the world's longest, that winds through a spectacular cave before emptying into the South China Sea. Cathedral chambers, wide hallways, and interesting geologic formations greet the wide eyed visitor to the grotto hidden beneath St. Paul Mountain. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing night to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards and squirrels find their niche on the beach forest near the cave.

Honda Bay is just 30 minutes drive form Puerto Princesa. Several bancas were arranged and the participants went beach hop the dozens of beaches on the islets that dot the bay. One enjoyed swimming, snorkelling, diving or just relaxing on the beach amidst the clear waters and fine sand. The panoramic view would surely left a lingering impression on the visitor.

The 3rd Annual Fellowship Night dinner was held on Saturday evening and was a great success. It also demonstrated the hidden talents of many of the company's employees, as singers and dancers entertained the audience. A professional culture show was also arranged.

HFS offers a number of incentives to encourage long-term employment. Bronze, silver, gold and platinum loyalty plaques is awarded for five, ten, fifteen and twenty years of service. One event during the Fellowship Night dinner was this Loyalty Awarding.
